Chilterns Area Quakers have been planting an orchard of fruit and nut trees in the field beside the Youth Hostel at Jordans, which was previously very overgrown.
The weather was kind to the work party on the morning of Saturday December 8th. Six met at the field above the Youth Hostel to plant fruit trees. The ground was very stoney and so it was slower going than they had hoped.
On the photo you can see the tree shelters with the trees inside guiding the eye up to the notable oak.
